Antenova Ltd, the provider of integrated antenna and RF solutions for mobile phones and other mobile devices announced today that it has received $6.5 million investment.
The funding round was lead by Azini Capital. Other major investors who participated in the funding include existing shareholders SPARK Ventures, First Ventures, Herald Ventures LP and Loudwater Investment Partners.
The additional investment will allow Antenova to continue the development and roll out of its RADIONOVA range of radio frequency (RF) antenna modules. These “drop-in” modules provide the antenna and RF signal processing functionality required to enable a device to receive GPS positioning data or to enable wireless communications. Antenova’s innovative modular approach eliminates the need for complex RF engineering and reduces the time and costs associated with bringing GPS or wireless communication enabled products to the market.
Antenova’s products can be found in many smartphones, feature phones, ultra mobile PC, personal digital assistants (PDAs), portable navigation devices (PNDs), portable media players (PMPs), trackers and personal safety devices.
Antenova has recently introduced a Quad-band Cellular RADIONOVA RF Antenna Module for GSM and CDMA mobile networks. RADIONOVA products in the pipeline include a dual-mode GPS/GSM RF antenna module and a dual-mode GPS/Bluetooth® RF antenna module.
